Mark came to the Museum from the University of Adelaide in 2002, where he worked with Sir Douglas Mawson’s personal collection. He had previously worked on both recent Mawson exhibition collaborations with the Museum: Unpacking the Explorer Scientist (1996) and In the Footsteps of Sir Douglas Mawson (2001).

 

Research Interests

Polar History, specifically relating to the early- to mid-20th century.

 

Current Research Projects

Mawson’s Female Friendships.
