The Art of Science - Family Day

Enjoy a day of fun fun activities and special events for everyone on Sunday 12 August from 11am-3pm as part of National Science Week. Program highlights include creating your own Explorer's Journal, singalong performances with Professors Flint and Peabody, short science films, and artist demonstrations by Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize finalists.

Be inspired by art and natural history in the Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize. See the stunning 10th anniversary exhibition of finalists' artworks and vote for your favourite in the People's Choice Award. Be sure to visit soon as voting closes on 23 August. I'm a Scientist, Get me out of Here!

Our Information Centre's James Smith will be taking part in I'm a Scientist, Get me out of Here this August! This exciting online program is designed to help teachers deliver the 'Science as a Human Endeavour' theme in the new national curriculum and bring real science to life for students. Sprigg Lecture by Prof Suzanne Miller

South Australian Museum Exhibitions on Tour

Two of the South Australian Museum's leading photography exhibitions are on show in Western Australia and the Northern Territory this August. The 2011 ANZANG Nature Photography exhibition is on display at the Western Australian Museum – Perth until 19 August. Images of the Interior opens at the Charles Darwin University Art Collection and Art Gallery on 8 August.
