Student's ideas on how rocks and minerals are formed can be enriched as they follow the evidence that Mawson found to explain South Australia's geological history and see the variety of minerals in the Museum's collection. As Honorary Curator of Minerals for the South Australian Museum, Mawson played a significant role in developing the Museum's mineral collection.
By booking an Education Officer students can handle examples of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks as well as different minerals.
