Opals, Monsters and Dinosaurs

Discover what South Australia was like during the Age of the Dinosaurs. Find out about prehistoric monsters discovered in South Australian opal mines. Hands on specimens will be a part of this session. An exciting variety of dinosaur and giant marine reptile, craft activities will follow the interactive session.

Snakes and Lizards Alive

Come along and meet the Discovery Centre’s live snakes and lizards, find out all about these amazing reptiles. Do all snakes have teeth? Do lizards bite? How do pythons feed? How do snakes move? An opportunity for boys and girls to see large snakes up close and discover what a real python feels like.

Our very special guests will be, Wadjet, Cyril and Kalli the Carpet Pythons.
