Field work experience: Central Australia (freshwater systems), Southern Australian oceanic waters from Tasmania to Western Australia and Antarctica, scuba diving in South Australia and Tasmania

Professional experience: Research work at all Australian museums. Collaborative work with the Australian Museum, Sydney and the Tasmanian museum and Art Gallery, Hobart. Awarded Smithsonian Fellowship in 1993.
