SERVICES FOR TEACHERS

Teaching Resources

The Education Officers produce educational materials for teachers and students. Follow the "Programs" link to see summaries. For more details, ring the Education Service for a password on 8207 7429.

Teacher Inservice

Education officers can provide professional development sessions for individual teachers or groups. Staff meetings can be held at the museum either after school or on school closure days.

Teachers can ring the Education Officers on 08 8207 7429 (preferably after 3pm) and discuss programs for classes.

Special programs are developed to meet special needs.

Student Teacher Placements

Work placements in the Museum Education Service for graduate teachers undertaking post graduate courses can be negotiated with an Education Officer.

This provides graduate teachers with experience in a non traditional teaching and learning environment.

Contact the Education Service for details.
