Young Explorers July: Across the Sea

Dates: Monday 4 - Friday 8 July 2022

Duration: 30 minutes

Location: Meet in the Main foyer of the South Australian Museum

Cost: $10/child, $8/Museum Members, free for Healthcare Card holders and free for accompanying parent or carer

What lies across the sea? How do Australia's closest neighbours stay warm in winter? Sail across the sea with Young Explorers and find out! Learn about the clothes and objects of the Pacific Islands.

Our popular Young Explorers program is designed especially for children aged 3 to 5, offering them an interactive experience inspired by the stories, objects and spaces of the South Australian Museum. Experienced educators use play experiences to engage the senses, incorporating story, song, movement, rhyme, observation, and exploration in each session.

You can find videos of some of our programs on our website here.

Our Young Explorer T&Cs:

This program has been specially designed for children aged 3 to 5 years – if you are bringing an accompanying sibling less than 3 years of age, please care for your younger child to allow the older sibling to fully enjoy the program.

Please note that this is a session for the general public and not for group bookings, including childcare or school groups. If you are interested in booking a private session for your group, please email programs@samuseum.sa.gov.au and we'd be happy to discuss!

We ask that parents or carers stay with the child for the session, but you do not need to book a ticket.

You do not need to print your ticket as our friendly educators will check your name off at the beginning of the session.

If you have any Access needs or program enquiries, please call 8207 7575 or email programs@samuseum.sa.gov.au.
