General Visits

Please make all general visit bookings for school groups using our online form. Click the link below. This form works best in browsers such as Edge, Chrome and Firefox. Problems may be encountered with Internet Explorer. We carefully manage the bookings to prevent overcrowding and ensure groups have the best opportunity for successful learning during their visit. Morning time slots can be especially busy so please book at least two weeks in advance if possible to ensure the best chance of securing your preferred time.

2025 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year

The Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year competition and exhibition celebrates the natural heritage of Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica and New Guinea. Perfect for teachers of science and visual and creative arts, this exhibition is not to be missed!

See nature up close through stunning images by professional, emerging and junior photographers who have shown impeccable timing, patience, artistry and technique to capture incredible moments in time.

This breathtaking exhibition allows us to witness the unique beauty of the flora, fauna and landscapes of our own backyard and the world around us. Who knows – maybe they’ll be a future Junior category winner!

To make a booking, please submit the school group booking form above, and include that you would like to visit the exhibition in the areas you would like to visit. Alternately, please email us directly at education@samuseum.sa.gov.au and we will be in touch to organise your booking.

Ticket pricing

Primary school students: Free as part of a school group visit

Secondary school students: $5.00 per student

Teachers and supervising adults will be allocated complimentary tickets according to the ratios outlined in the Department of Education Camps and Excursions Procedure.

All exhibition tickets are payable by invoice, issued by Shared Services.
