Laia (QLD)

Location: North of Palmer River; east to the Dividing Range; west to the head of the Alice River. The name Kokobatha apparently belongs not to this tribe, but their southern neighbors, the Kokomini. The term Kokowara is also a valid name for a tribe farther east which does not appear to be closely related.

Co-ordinates: 143°25'E x 15°40'S

Area: 2,100 sq. m. (5,500 sq. km.)
