There is little information located about HP Heslop. In the 'Queanbeyan Age, Wednesday December 11, 1901'. It was noted at Cooma Council meeting that Mr H.P. Heslop, manager of the Heslop patent automatic acetylene gas Co offered to install street lamps to the town. It is unknown if this is the photographer for the photographs held within this collection. But it does provide a place and year.

There is also another newspaper article from 'The Queenslander, Saturday 15 December 1906' referring to Mr H.P. Heslop's Edison Depot. Again, we are unsure if this is the same man as our photographs refer to.
