Early Learning Kits 

Keep the fun and learning going outside the Museum with our preschool learning kits. These kits include objects from the South Australian Museum’s education collection to inspire young students. 

Each kit is aligned to the Early Years Learning Framework and comes with a program guide to deliver a play-based STEM experience at your site.

There are three exciting programs available: 

• I Want to be an Archaeologist
  Learn all about Ancient Egypt and how archaeologists help us discover the past! 

• I Want to be a Geologist
  Learn all about the rocks and minerals that make up our world! 

• I Want to be a Palaeontologist
  Explore ancient life, from fossils of the first animals to dinosaurs and Australian megafauna!

Tactile learning kit for students with low vision 

Created by South Australian School and Services for Vision Impaired (SASSVI), our tactile marine education kit is available for schools who have students who are blind or have low vison. This kit contains 3D printed objects and braille resources and can be accessed on request during a visit or can be loaned out to schools.
