This item comprises a small album of 24 non-colour photographs taken on Fergusson Island, PNG, in 1920. The album was with other photographs and 35mm colour slides that belonged to Graeme Pretty. The exact origin of the album and how it came into Graeme Pretty's possession is not known, but was from someone named "Blanche", dated June 1921.

The inscription inside the album cover states the the photographs are from "The Kwabi-Kwabi - Aialuma episode (Fergusson Island - Papua) 1920".
