A number of folio cards with attached portrait or profile photographs of Ngarrindjeri Australian Aboriginal people. Original photographs probably taken at the Point McLeay Mission. Folio card annotations, control and accession numbers imposed by Museum staff or others involved in the identification of people in the collection at different stages.

A further number of photographs in various sizes is included with the series.

Negatives from which various photographs have been developed are identified by the infix NEG in the control number, eg AA 319/2NEG/1.
