Ngadlu tampinthi ngadlu Kaurna Miyurna yartangka. Munaintya puru purruna ngadlu-itya. Munaintyanangku yalaka tarrkarriana tuntarri.
We acknowledge we are on Kaurna Miyurna land. The Dreaming is still living. From the past, in the present, into the future, forever.
In 1949 Lindsay Black and expedition members from the South Australian Museum and the 'National Museum', Victoria [Museum Victoria] went on an expedition to Collymongle Station on the Barwon River near Collarenebri (NSW) to photograph and remove carved trees to 'save them from destruction by fire or weather'. Twenty Five trees were taken to Museum Victoria and 25 to the South Australian Museum and 2 sent to the Queensland University.
Lindsay's son, Russell Black is understood to have taken most of the photographs, mostly from October 1949. However there are a few from February 1942.
