This series comprises photos from the Strehlow era at Hermannsburg (NT). It includes photos of missionaries from the early twentieth century including the Lieblers and Wettengels when the Strehlows were on furlough. There are also photos of the Heidenreich and Strehlow families, and group photos of women and children in the early twentieth century many in the date garden at Hermannsburg. There are a few photos of buildings from this era, including thatched cottages for Arrernte families.
