The creator of this journal is thought to be either Drusilla Namatjira (Australian Aboriginal woman) or Muriel Namatjira (Australian Aboriginal woman). It is suggested that both women were expert leather workers, and the journal documents the sales (and repair) of slippers, moccassins and like foot wear by various artisans.
