This series comprises four black and white (b/w) photographic prints, and 1 halftone copy, which includes portraits of Rev. C Strehlow (see AA 315), and Edward Lee Hamilton, the Protector of Aborigines. A photograph of a group of Europeans, with no captioning completes the series. The prints are of varying size and format. Most have original annotations written on them. The prints are stored unmounted in a binder titled 'AA 1 Aborigines' Friends' Association (AFA) Photographic Prints, Album 4 of 4'.

South Australian Museum archivist Kay L Mead described this series in 1980. In her listing she recorded a caption for this series but the exact source of the caption is not known. This caption has been retained as the 'Series Title' and has been listed in the 'Details' field of the inventory along with all annotations found on the prints. All place names and proper names from the annotations and caption have been indexed.

The series was part of Acc. No. 86.
