This series contains letters requesting copies of the Reuther manuscript (see AA 266/30/1-3) and letters, reports, grant application, telegram, memorandum and minutes relating to Reverend Scherer's assessment of previous translations of the Reuther manuscript by Hossfeld and Vogelsang as well as his own translation (see AA 266/30/3-58). Correspondents include Reverend Scherer, Directors of the South Australian Museum, Curator of Anthroplogy of the South Australian Museum and the Principal of the Australian Institute of Aboriginal Studies (AIAS, currently Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS).
