This series can be broken down into six major subseries.

The first group (AA 290/3/1) comprises photographs from Devon Downs (SA).

The second group (AA 290/3/2) comprises photographs from Fromms Landing (SA).

The third group (AA 290/3/3) comprises photographs of rock art at Wongulla (SA).

The fourth group (AA 290/3/4) comprises photographs from Moana (SA).

The fith group (AA 290/3/5) comprises photographs of skeletal remains.

The sixth group (AA 290/3/6) comprises photographs of archaeological diggings.
