This is a collection of glass plate negatives created by Ernest Eugene Kramer and William Arnold Long (the donor's father) during the 1930s. They capture a range of scenes from daily missionary life around New South Wales, Northern Territory and Queensland, including portraits of men, women and children, vehicles, ministry, landscapes, animals and gatherings. They also include images of the British and Foreign Bible Society, Cherbourg Settlement and the last post of the Overland Telegraph.

The collection was donated to the Museum by Leonard Long, whose grandfather founded the 'Aborigines Inland Mission', which had locations around central Australia (including the Retta Dixon home - she was Long's grandmother).

Where the title of the item is in single quotations, this is the title originally given to the image, as written on the slide itself.

There are an additional 31 uncatalogued slides that are currently being conserved.
