Annotations: 'Wife and daughter of Mr Blackwell'. 'Taken by the Rev. D.W. Annear of Tailem Bend on 1st. May 1935. The stone cairn erected to preserve the remains of the old tree where Grandpa (Rev. Geo. Taplin (see AA 319)) held school first at Point Macleay [Point McLeay] Mission Station'.
