Leaving Ernabella on 13 June 1933 to move to the second camp at the south of the Ferdinand valley [mouth of Glen Ferdinand]. Describes settlement of the land by the water permit system, sinking of wells and the government conditions to be met. Settlers reliance on credit to help through hard times. Camel car, scalp trading for rations eg flour, tea, tobacco, pipes, matches and clothing also described.
