Landscape, carriers beside a water fall.

'Across the Bismark Mountains into the interior of New Guinea 1930-1931' Previously Acc. No. 127

Foot notes: 'Emerging from a gorge about half a mile in length on the north side of the Bismarks. It was a very difficult track but by following it a hand climb over a very steep mountain was avoided. The creek fell in a series of cascades and deep pools, finally opening out as seen in the photograph.'
