A paper or introductory chapter clearly prepared for publication, and it appears the typist has left gaps for unreadable words (see above entry). These gaps are filled at the beginning of the paper but not in its later pages. It was in a registered (red chalk crossed) envelope dated 3/4/45 and with postmarked origin Chatswood, New South Wales, and cancelled at Toogoolawah on the verso, with McConnel as recipient on the recto. Last page has a sentence: 'In the following pages I shall attempt to describe in greater detail [then blank]' suggesting this was to be followed by more. It was never published.
