Second page of a letter from T.G.H. Strehlow (clearly to McConnel but not
identified as such), undated, no addresses.
Internal evidence suggests it may have been about 1943 when Strehlow was stationed at Enoggera in Brisbane and serving in the army (see ‘kitbag’ reference). ‘Yimbun’ is probably the local phone exchange of Toogoolawah near which McConnel’s family home Cressbrook was located (Yimbun is in the upper Brisbane River Valley).
