The CAAB Melanesia expedition took place from 22 July 1972 to 11 October 1972.

Two notebooks (official, pre-printed, SA Museum Film Identification notebooks), give details of some of the photos taken during the Commonwealth Art Advisory Board expedition to Melanesia. The period covered by these notebooks is 29 July 1972 to 30 August 1972.

Notebook 2: Black and white photographs, films numbered 1 - 11.
These photos (other than those on film number 3, which is missing) have been scanned and can be found in the sub-folders under R:\Archives\AA 255 PRETTY, GL\Graeme Pretty - CAAB - 1972 Photos\Black & White Photos. These sub-folders are named "B&W 1" to "B&W 18".
The films numbered 12 - 18 are not recorded in this photo notebook, but records of the photos are in the field notebooks AA 255/14/28/1-3.
