This item contains 73 typescript foolscap pages of Stirling's translation of Reuther's description of 322 toas. The list includes Stirling's numbering system as well as Reuther's. The descriptions are identical to Sir Edward Charles Stirling (see AA 309) and Edgar Ravenswood Waite (see AA 356) publication titled 'Description of Toas or Australian Aboriginal Direction Signs' published in Records of the South Australian Museum, Vol. 1, No. 2, 30 August 1919 (see AA 266/2/1/24) and labels for a display (see AA 266/3/3).
