Atkins, Rau, Salaam and White crossing lakebed

Photograph of the expedition party crossing the dry lakebed of Lake Marrakoonamooka. All nine expedition camels can be seen walking in a line. James Atkins and Otto Rau are riding the two camels at the rear of the camel train, Mahomet Salaam is riding the lead camel. Captain White (see AA 365) is walking beside a camel at the centre of the train.
