Manuscript and typed drafts of a paper written by Black entitled 'The Australian Aborigines of the South and Centre. Their material culture and living conditions' which documented the material culture, customs and lifestyle of the Aboriginal people of South and Central Australia. Also included are Black's research notes on material culture, hunting and gathering techniques, water conservation methods, shelters and other topics extracted from various historical and ethnographic sources, plus illustrations from published sources and photographs of specimens from South Australian Museum collections. Some correspondence with publishers is also included
