  • 3rd April, McBribe in boat, 6th H Nichols vocation 'Good Friday', 9th East Point, April Creek, McBride, 13th Whippet car, 14th MV Marella, 15th Mr McGregor, 21st trial run of new boat to East Point, 24th Mrs Sargent, 25th departed Darwin for Milingimbi, Goulborn Island, Mr Reed, 28th arrived Milingimbi, Rosie, Mayorumbi, Gaidjohlac, Andrew (Torres Strait Islander people), Gloria Light plant installed, wireless operational, 5CL (radio station), Karpu, Joram, Andrew (and wives), (Torres Strait Islander people).


  • 5th May, Mr Webb, unidentified man handcuffed and returned to mainland, 8th 87 points of rain, saw bench repairs, outboard motor overhaul, 14th started 'Medicine house', Markindi (Torres Strait Islander woman). Leg ulcer, 20th Karpu (Torres Strait Islander man), Mrs Webb ill.

  • 2nd June, building machine shop, 7th walked across island to billabong, 13th departed via McBride for Elcho Island, inspected oil bore, Howard Island, arrived home 16th, Mulayula (Torres Strait Islander woman), 18th repaired engine bearing, McBride departed with Harold, Mrs Muller and Barbara, 27th girls finished making bags and given a new dress each, Mr Riston, Mr Warneer with Charlie, Tobsy, Sambo (Elcho Island men).


  • 1st August, McBride arrived with Harrold, Mrs Thomby, Mr Reid, 5th Mr Reid took service, departed for Goulburn Island, 6th commenced constructing floor piles for 'our' new house, Harry returned from mainland, 10th SS Orient and McBride arrived, Miss Mathews, Sita and children, 12th McBride loading petrol and water, departed for Melville Bay, 15th commenced house construction, Mackariter, loading peanuts, 18th SS Orient departed with Miss Mathews, Goonabibbi (corobboree), 20th developed photographs, 30th four aeroplanes passed over headed Darwin and Singapore.


  • 1st September, cypress and tamarin tree from Macassan well, McBride returned and then departed 5th for Howard Island with Mr Rilstone, 6th warning of natives from mainland for fight with Tim and his crowd, Tim's woman stole into mission house for protection, Riola, Mary (Torres Strait Islander women) and Mr Webb departed with her in motorboat for mainland, Mugrourie, Buradowi (Torres Strait Islander women), 9th to mainland to pickup Liqor, Riola etc (Torres Strait Islander women), 18th to mainland to pick up Johnny and Leekor (Torres Strait Islander men), 19th Harrold and Ella left for Darwin with Mr Warneer, Capt Lawson, arrive Goulburn Island, Miss Mathews, chased SS Orient in McBride for mail, Darwin on 22nd Mrs Muller and Barbara, Mrs Hilditych, East Point, Mr Bearteaux, 27th Departed Darwin about same time as SS Kootinda, picked up Undaboonda (Torres Strait Islander man) from Goulburn Is and home 30th.


  • 3rd October, Mr Webb, Mr Rilstone, Rosie, Yorau, and Glidulilac (Torres Strait Islander people) departed, trepanging, Karpu preparing for trip to Howard Is for logs departing 6th,
    fight between Pasty and Jolly (Torres Strait Islander men), Karpu returned, trepanging, Riola to mainland on 15th, Mooroogas, Pringinall (Torres Strait Islander men) mixing cement, Riola and Mary returned ex mainland 17th, 19th row in camp, Mollis threw spears at Shovel, Leckoe's trouble (Torres Strait Islander men), 22nd SS Orient departed, Sambo and others departed for mainland corobboree (Paddy's bones), (Torres Strait Islander men), 27th November Mrs Beurteaux, Mrs Goldsmith, Mrs Bleezers, Lang Cheong, Jolly's shop, georgette, Mrs Webb, Mrs Jarvis, Leonard birthday, Harold visited Marree, 30th Grannie Mansfield, Mrs Jarvis, Mrs Lucas, Mrs Goldsmith.
