This item consists of documents relating to the copying of the South Australian Museum's (SAM) Speech and Sound Collection for the Australian Institute of Aboriginal Studies, Canberra. The institute sought to have preservation copies of the SAM materials held at Canberra for safe keeping. Some of the correspondence relates to the issue of public access and use of the materials.
