Includes geographical, aeronautical and 'photomap' series of Australia and Papua New Guinea (see also items 338/18/1-2). A diagram on page 14, 'Australian Aeronautical Map 1:1,000,000', serves as a location key to a number of maps (in series 338/15) from which Tindale transcribed expedition data to maps in series 338/18.
