This drawer contains a general vocabulary drawn from a wide range of Australian languages. Most of the entries are derived from literature sources, but some are drawn from Tindale's manuscript materials. The first card in the drawer contains the note: 'general collection of Australian words and their supposed transliterations, from other sources, (with references added) started 1954'.
