This film was made during the Board for Anthropological Research (BAR) expedition to Yuendumu, Northern Territory from 20 May - 9 June 1963.

'Aboriginal Spears' is a final film production documenting the making of two types of spears.
This includes the selection of a suitable branch, straightening the shaft, making and mounting a composite spear head, repair of a broken spear shaft and hunting demonstration.
