This item consists of 11 magnetic tapes and one transcript, made by NB Tindale, providing a narrative commentary to the Board for Anthropological Research (BAR) films. Tapes (AA 346/9/26/1- 5) were recorded and transcribed by Lloyd M Reiser and April S Kubo, of the Anthropology Department, University of California, Los Angeles, California, USA, during the first half of 1968. Tapes relating to BAR films (AA 346/9/26/6 - 10) were recorded during lectures given at the Australian National University, Canberra, between April - July 1974.

These tapes were previously held in the NB Tindale collection (AA 338/11/38) and were transferred into the BAR collection (AA 346) in December 2005. The Master tapes are held at AIATSIS [Collection: SAM_02]
