  1. Australian Aboriginal man. Annotated "1500 miles north of Adelaide. Chief of the Powell Creek tribe. Known as 'Cabbage'. The gashes in his thigh are his mothod of mourning for the deceased warrior buried in the tree, see next photo. Dec 1927"
