South West Pacific area of Operations

Landscape photograph captioned: "N2688b. Views of the havoc around the city of Yokohama. The city had been heavily bombed with incendiaries and great areas were completely burnt out. On these burnt out sites the inhabitants built tin shanties from the wreckage. Fires from our bombing had swept throughtout the city and the only buildings left intact were those designerd to be earthquate proof."
