Campbell's unpublished papers and drafts on natural history, history and other subjects include:

  • Several typescript drafts of a paper entitled 'With George at Carrakalinga', an account of the life of an outback stockman whom Campbell met during his expedition to Stuart Range (SA) in 1923.

  • Hand-written draft, 17 pages, of an account of Campbell's 1923 Stuart Range expedition, including references to Aboriginal people, stone artefacts and other topics.

  • Typescript report by Campbell entitled 'Pearson Island Project, Feb 11-24, 1960'. This report provides details on the expedition and an account of the natural history of the island group.

  • Handwritten notes on the early history of Flinders Island, including references to Aboriginal women kidnapped by white men.

  • Typescript draft, with handwritten corrections, entitled 'Islands', providing an account of the 1923 expedition to Flinders Island.

  • Typescript draft with handwritten corrections entitled 'Space'; Campbell's observations on life in the outback.

  • Typescript draft, with handwritten and typed corrections, entitled 'Silence'; Campbell's observations on life in the outback.

  • Typescript draft, with handwritten and typed corrections, entitled 'Open air and aeronautics'; Campbell's observations on birds and aspects of bird flight.
