This photograph is of painting of an Aboriginal ceremony. It is unknown who the original artist is.
The painting has a group of men in two lines facing each other, a fire is in the middle and women and children are seated on each ends of the lines.
'Photographed by Anson & Francis Adelaide Photographic Institution 97 Rundle Street NB Copies of the Photograph can be obtained by forwarding the number' is printed on the reverse and probably dates between late 1863 and early 1866.
