Report on conference on Aboriginal employment which raised issues relating to treatment of Aboriginal employees by cattle stations and Aboriginal work habits. Refresher course at Hermannsburg has become annual event in January. 'Leave them alone' concern that there are no interventions in the lives of Aboriginal people where murder or infanticide occurs within communities. In the NT there are 4,000 Aborigines living on missions and settlements and 14,000 on cattle stations and elsewhere. Fellow travellers - Albrecht met some Aboriginal station workers on their way to church on Maryvale station. Another group were travelling back from a service at Henbury. Jay Creek running well while superintendent absent.
