Short of water during drought at Hermannsburg. Changes in staff. Need more teachers and nurses. Koschades took over while Albrechts on furlough. American musician and wife visited Hermannsburg, Areyonga and Haasts Bluff. Court case over incident at Haasts Bluff with sympathetic judge. There should be special Australian Aboriginal Courts to hear cases of inter-aboriginal violence as court system does not deal with them. Bush church dedicated at Erldunda followed by baptisms. Church built with help of many donations. Aboriginal accommodation on stations mainly wurlies. Visit to TiTree station where Aboriginal people request an evangelist. Baptisms at Areyonga where population increasing (Pitjantjatjara and Loritja). Teachers appointed to Haasts Bluff. School to be built at Popanji (Papunya) for Ngalia. Pastor Scherer sick replaced by Paul GE Albrecht (See AA 707) .
