Archive Collections / Pastor Friedrich Wilhelm Albrecht / Series AA 662/076 / Australian Aboriginal people in front of a Hermannsburg house
Previously numbered 117.

Unidentified European woman center foreground. Two Hermannsburg buildings. The fenced off area of the building on the left was the Latz (See AA 778) house, (the Women's Center 1989) the unfenced end was where Albert Namatijira (Australian Aboriginal man, See AA 229) did his poker work and french polishing. The fire at the base of the tree was for heating up fencing wire to do the poker work. The french polishing was done inside the end room. The building on right is the missionary's (Strehlow (See AA 315 and AA 316) and Albrecht) house.
