This photograph depicts Rev. Albrecht's (see AA 662) estate at Hermannsburg (NT). From 1926 till 1946, among many other honourable mentions, he worked tirelessly as a superintendent for the Lutheran Mission. He encouraged the beginnings of the Australian Aboriginal art movement. Under his administration many industries were established.
