Hardcover brown and blue patterned, lined notebook written in ink, 175mm x 225mm. Hand numbered pages from 6-138, page six is a dedication 'This book I dedicate to thee who art the star of my existence....' . The following pages contain poems, titled and dated from 1870-1894. There is an index on pages 121-124. Inside the front cover were nine loose folded, handwritten poems on lined and plain paper. These poems are now unfolded and still with the notebook. There is no authors name in the notebook and it is undated.
