Original diary was a black hard cover ruled notebook, written in ink 165mm x 100mm.

Typed transcription of personal diary entries from when Waite was at the South Australian Museum. Includes copies of a photograph of Waite, newspaper clippings with one regarding a letter from his brother he received regarding a Zeppelin raid in the UK, details of the collecting expedition into the interior and page two of a letter regarding a 'charge of disloyalty' by the Museum Committee.
