Original diary was a black hard cover ruled notebook, written in ink 165mm x 100mm.
Typed transcription of personal diary entries from when Waite was at the South Australian Museum. mentions Waite being knocked off his bicycle by a horse and cart which broke two ribs and gave him concussion. Copies of newspaper clippings are included including those relating to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and details of his trip to visit Mr Bellchambers at Humbug Scrub and mention of showing Waite his 'spirit' photographs.
