Remarks: Iris Dicks and her husband Walter (Wally) Dicks lived here with their daughter Beverley from May 1939 until they left Ooldea in 1949. While they were at Ooldea 45 families passed through, but all left when children were ready for school. Beverley was the only child who did correspondence schooling and stayed on.
