Initials "BNR" or "BVR" or :BVC" [hard to read] and the date 6.10.38.
The map is in a small brown envelope with "John Black, Esq., Gorime" written on it.
Also on the envelope, an apparently later date annotation in red biro "14 Feb 1934". According to an email from Bill Gammage to Barry Craig dated 20 June 2008, this date is probably meant to be 1944 rather than 1934 (see SAMA 1196/3/2).
