This series comprises the manuscript, proofs and correspondence relating to Worsnops 'The Prehistoric Arts, Manufacturers, Works, Weapons, Etc., of the Aborigines of Australia' published in 1897.

There may be several drafts and proof copies. Papers were formerly housed in 5 folders labelled P1-69, P70-113, P114-245, P246-379, P380-512. The arrangement of this series is numbered to reflect the original folder number, followed by an item number attributed by George Smith (i.e. "1-1"= folder 1, item 1).

The individual sheets have been numbered 1- in pencil on the top right-hand corner. From p37 an additional numerical annotation is made in blue pencil commencing at 473 (perhaps made by Amandus Heinrich Christian Ziets (AA 869).

Some portions of this series were previously attributed to Capt SA White (See AA 365/10), and as at 6 June 2018 were still including in White's finding aid.
