This series comprises: three copies of The Pioneer newspaper from December 1930 and January 1931 which contain a vocabulary relating to the southern Yorke Peninsula, South Australia, collected by J Howard Johnson in about 1900; a typescript of correspondence relating to the vocabulary, as well as place names and other aspects of Aboriginal culture of the region; and two page proofs of the vocabulary.
